We have had to increase our prices for camps and classes this year. We are not the U of C that has over 20 kids in a camp, uses donated or borrowed equipment, and pays no real rent. We buy and maintain our equipment, we pay rent and we pay nominal salaries. Our camps have 6 to 8 kids and most importantly, each child has his or her own work station – unlike other camps. No one subsidizes us. Our weekly camp registration is only $59 more than the U of C (taking into account the GST), and because of the low number of campers, our better equipment and heck, a real engineer is the main facilitator; it’s reasonable. We do not charge GST this year.
